Captains Flat Hotel - Home of the Long Bar
A place to relax and enjoy old fashioned country hospitality - so close to Canberra yet still in the heart of the country
Our aim is to provide an environment where everyone can enjoy great value for money food and accommodation, service with a smile and a hearty welcome to the Pub with one of the longest bars in the southern hemisphere. We welcome groups, families and the travelling public to stop in and have a nice meal and a relaxing drink.
We also offer a full Wedding Venue for those smaller intimate functions for up to 50 to 60 people. Great prices and excellent service, combined with accommodation for your guests on site will mean your day will be all that it should, at a fraction of the cost of many other venues.

Being so close to the ACT you will be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of rural NSW though still in easy reach of the cultural and sporting opportunities Canberra has to offer. Come and stay for a night or a week and let us show you how good country hospitality can be.

With a variety of facilities to choose from, we're sure you'll enjoy your time with us. Look around our website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us.
The Captains Flat Hotel - if not the longest bar in the southern hemisphere, certainly one of the longest and well worth the trip just to have a look at this amazing old building

Captains Flat Hotel - built in 1937 at the
start of one the mining booms in the district.

The mine closed in 1962 and Captains Flat is now a quiet and relaxing country community.

                                                                           Old days old ways.......
We look forward to welcoming you very soon.....

If the Captains Flat Hotel goes through its renovations it could be brought back to life with modern yet industrialised fittings such as polished concrete. Designer Floors have completed many polished concrete floors in their company history and provide differnet concrete flooring options from polishing the existing floors, polishing an overlay, epoxy and decorative finishes.

Discussions with other hotel owners typically end with the decision to use exposed aggregate concrete floors because they provide the right look for the hotel owner and fit with their cleaning, durability and maintenance needs. Companies such as Terrastone are having a lot of success in providing exposed aggregate concrete due to their durability and cost effectiveness. Elements that go well with polished concrete floors also go a long way to preserving the history of the hotel including exposed brick walls.
